I am interested in the Galvanized Steel Medal Letter that is shown above. I would like the letters to be about 10 inches high. With that height how wide would the letters be.
Thank you
Molly Mahoney
Hi John, The width of each letter will depend on the font you select but our website will calculate it for you. Just type in your lettering on our order form here: http://www.craftcuts.com/galvanized-steel-metal-letters.html. Once you select the font and height the overall width will be calculated in the bottom left hand corner of the order form.

I love the old rustic look. I have lots of old tools and junk that I think would look great hanging on my walls. I have done this before and they are untouched. They are picked up and wiped down and go directly on the wall.
So, we’ve added on a large mud room and are are getting ready to start painting the entrance and living room. Do you have any suggestions for me as to what I can do that’s alittle different than what I’ve done in the past.
Casey
Sounds good Rebecca. Send us a pic of what you created.
Casey
Hi Rebecca, Sorry, I didn’t see your entire comment before with the question. Hmmm, I have seen people use tools as window treatments, like a bunch of potato mashers hanging at the top of curtains. I’m just not sure what kind of tools you have so I’m trying to picture the look you are going for.
Carol
We are looking for several sets of letters .. each set to say Believe…in the font that you used for “wash”..kind of curly. Can you price? I am thinking I would need approx. 8 sets
Molly Mahoney
Hi Carol, The price will depend on the height of the letters. Here is a link to the order form: http://www.craftcuts.com/galvanized-steel-metal-letters.html. Just type if your Believe lettering and select and height, it will then give you the price per set. The “wash” lettering on the website is in the Curlz font. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

i can’t see the front of the clear coat can. Can you tell me which clear cost it is? I have minwax polyurethane but I believe it’s different than what you’re using. Thanks!
Molly Mahoney
Hi Leah, That is a Minwax spray on clear coat that I am using seal the wood and make it darker. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Olivia
what type of finish is the spray you used? I’ve seen Semi-Gloss, Gloss, Satin, High Gloss, etc.
Molly Mahoney
Hi Olivia, We used a satin finish. It left the wood looking more natural than a gloss would.
Debra Hertz
Can you make a saying all one piece?
Molly Mahoney
Hi Debra,
Yes, we can. Please contact our customer service team via sales@craftcuts.com and they would be happy to send you a graphic along with a quote.
Teresa
I’m looking for 2″ or 3″ letters. The email link for the sales team is not working. Do you cut them at this size?
Molly Mahoney
Hi Teresa, We should be able to cut smaller letters for you but our customer service team would need to look at the artwork/lettering first. You can email them directly at sales@craftcuts.com. Let me know if that email address still doesn’t work for you.
Lee
Is wood glue for sure secures metal to wood??
Molly Mahoney
Hi Lee, the specific type of glue I used listed wood and metal as materials it bonded. Just be sure to check the label when you are selecting your glue.

I’ve seen projects done using large pieces of barn wood and what appears to be metal letters that have been painted and distressed. Would I be able to do that with these galvanized steel letters?
Molly Mahoney
Hi Cindy, You can definitely paint and distress our Galvanized Steel Letters. We do also offer some made out of mild steel that are already rusted. They are called Rustic Metal Letters and can be found here: http://www.craftcuts.com/rustic-steel-metal-letters.html. Please let me know if you have any other questions!

I do not have access to reclaimed wood or pallets. I want to make a project with some board we saved after replacing them in our privacy fence. I want to use this particular wood pieces because it is from the house my daughter grew up in and make it more personal to her. I took the wood to the person to paint the project and she refused because they were originally green treat dogear wood. the wood has been out in Iowa elements for 15 + yrs. I only am using a 18 x 22 in piece of wood. Is this dangerous or unsafe to have as an indoor home decoration or is the person just wanting the extra $40 to use her reclaim barn wood that could have at one time had lead base paint. Should I be concerned?
Molly Mahoney
Hi Michele, I cannot tell you for certain if the wood you want to use is safe. I would think that wood used on fencing shouldn’t be too toxic as kids, people, pets and livestock often touch fencing. The only information I can find aboutt it online is animals potentially eating the wood causing a problem. I think as long as the wood isn’t being handled often it should be okay. I am sorry I couldn’t give you a more precise answer. We would love to see how your project turns out!
Anya Richey
I have a piece of old barn wood and would like to make a vertical welcome sign out of it. How do I figure out the size of the letters to make them fit?
Molly Mahoney
Hi Anya, Our customer service team would be happy to help you with your sizing. Please email them at sales@craftcuts.com with the size of your board and the font you like. They can send you a proof from there. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Lisa
When mounting the letters to the wood can they just be mounted flush to the wood if it is smooth?
Molly Mahoney
Hi Lisa, yes! You can glue them directly to the board as well. The wood spacers on this project does give the letter more depth though.
