Craftcuts Unpainted MDO Letters meet the demand of customers looking for outdoor rated plywood. These letters are easy to paint because the face and back already have primer on them. The ply layers are held together with water resistant adhesive to resist moisture and warping.

MDO (Medium Density Overlay) is a popular outdoor rated wood product, and we also carry Medex which comes in more thicknesses and has an optional routed edge. We recommend painting outdoor letters with an exterior grade paint or you can order letters already painted with an automotive grade paint from us here.

Mounting MDO letters can be as easy as drilling a wood screw through the face, or ordering mounting studs and a paper template with your lettering. The mounting studs are applied to the back of the letter for clean installation. The paper template shows the proper alignment and spacing of the letters.

The letter height you order is based on the uppercase letter "A" of the font you specify. Depending on the font, some uppercase/lowercase letters may be shorter or taller than the height you specify on the order form so they will look proportionate to each other. Therefore, you may receive some of your lettering in different dimensions than the letter height ordered. If all lettering is ordered in lower case, we still scale the lettering to an uppercase "A" which will make most of the letters smaller than what was ordered. Please contact us if you would like to size your lettering differently from our standards. Please see examples below
