Painted Personalized Coat Racks encourage children to hang coats and hats as soon as they enter the home rather than "peel and drop" in a heap on the floor. We took our popular painted wood letters and added matching pegs to bring out the fun in functional. The number of installed pegs will depend on the length of the name, but usually ranges between 3 to 5 pegs per name. Painted personalized coat racks can be used to decorate common areas in the home with words special to your family, or just a last name.
We cut these personalized coat racks using 3/8" thick Baltic Birch Plywood which is one of the strongest wood materials available for sign and craft projects. The racks are hand painted then sprayed with an indoor-rated acrylic paint on the sides and face, but not the back. Colors may vary from your screen due to monitor displays, please contact us to request paint swatches. Our painted coat racks are one of the few products we offer with mounting hardware so it is ready to hang immediately out of the box.
Our coat racks are strong enough for coats and outerwear, but cannot withstand the weight of school backpacks or other heavy items.

The letter height you order is based on the uppercase letter "A" of the font you specify. Depending on the font, some uppercase/lowercase letters may be shorter or taller than the height you specify on the order form so they will look proportionate to each other. Therefore, you may receive some of your lettering in different dimensions than the letter height ordered. If all lettering is ordered in lower case, we still scale the lettering to an uppercase "A" which will make most of the letters smaller than what was ordered. Please contact us if you would like to size your lettering differently from our standards. Please see examples below
Note: All Letters in the 1/8, 1/4 and 3/8 inch thickness are cut with a laser which leaves a dark smooth edge as shown above. The edge can be painted over. The 1/2 and 3/4 thick lettering are cut with a computer controlled router and then the edges are sanded smooth.
