Painted MDF Wood Letters

These decorative painted letters are inspired by large letter ideas we’ve admired in magazines and catalogs. Painted MDF wooden letters can also be used to personalize a girl’s or boy’s room, or on the baby’s nursery wall. Letters made of MDF can be ordered to make a bold statement because the material is thick and can be routed to make a sophisticated rounded or beveled edge. Our wood wall letters are hand painted with an indoor-rated matte acrylic paint on the sides and the face. We offer several colors including fresh-looking white wood letters, royalty-inspired gold wood letters, and neutral tones like dark brown, tan and cream wooden letters.

MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and is an engineered wood made from small wood fibers and pressed together to make a dense composite that is excellent for indoor sign letters and craft letters. The advantage of MDF over our Painted Baltic Birch Plywood Letters is the availability of thicker material and an optional routed edge for extra dimension and style.

Our painted MDF letters do not come with any mounting hardware. Double sided mounting tape is available for purchase when submitting your order. Our removable spray adhesive is not advised for this product because it may not be strong enough to hold up the lettering. If your wood lettering is taller than 10 inches, we recommend purchasing framing hardware locally and attaching it to the back of the letter. We do not recommend installing letters directly above a crib in the event they may fall.
