• Monograms look best when there is at least 2/3 difference in height between the small letters and larger letter. For example, we suggest a 8 inch letter for the small initials and 12 inch letters for the large initial.
• The proper order of letters for a person's monogram is: first name initial, last name initial (bigger), middle initial.
• Monograms ordered in 1/8", 1/4" or 3/8" cannot exceed 30" in width due to our laser bed capacity. The monogram will be condensed to 30" wide if it exceeds this width.
• Monograms in 1/2" and 3/4" have no size limit, but additional shipping charges may apply if it is over 26" wide.
• Shipping Note: Words exceeding 26 inches in length may be subject to actual shipping charges which may be more than what is shown in the shopping cart at the conclusion of your order. We will contact you if actual shipping charges apply to your order.

NOTE: The word or name selected for this product will need to be less than 30 inches wide if you select the 1/8, 1/4 or 3/8 inch thick option. This is due to the cutting bed size of our laser that cuts these thinner wood lettering. (This does not apply to the 1/2" thick connected lettering product since they are cut with a computer controlled router that has a larger cutting area.) Most fonts can be condensed quite a bit in the width dimension without looking "squished". We will go ahead and condense the width to about 29 inches wide while maintaining the height if we need to in order to fit it on our board. If we feel that it will be condensed too much for the font and size of lettering you are ordering, then we will contact you. Only individual words are connected; not phrases. The dot on the lowercase letter "i" may or may not be connected depending on the font style. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or custom requests.

Letter Sizing Information

The letter height you order is based on the uppercase letter "A" of the font you specify. Some uppercase/lowercase letters are shorter (or taller) than the height you specify on the order form so that they will look porportionate to each other. For example, if you wanted to order the name, Ashley, and you ordered all the letters the same size, you would get the following letter sizes in relation to each other.

Note: All Letters in the 1/8, 1/4 and 3/8 inch thickness are cut with a laser which leaves a dark smooth edge as shown above. The edge can be painted over. The 1/2 and 3/4 thick lettering are cut with a computer controlled router and then the edges are sanded smooth before painting.
