Painted wood numbers from Craft Cuts are a convenient way to find a painted number such as a black number, red numbers, or even pink numbers for decoration or a special event. Our painted wooden numbers are cut custom per order, and hand painted with a matte finish acrylic paint on the sides and the face but not the back.
We cut our standard indoor lettering from Baltic Birch Plywood which is one of the strongest wood materials available for sign and craft projects. If you are looking for wood numbers thicker than ¾ inch, we have Painted MDF wooden numbers. Because the decorative numbers are made from a non-outdoor rated wood, we do not recommend using these decorative house numbers on surfaces that endure direct weather and are best used as a house number sign, or door numbers that are undercover or indoors.
Our painted wooden numbers do not come with any mounting hardware. Double sided mounting tape and removable spray adhesive are available for purchase when submitting your order. If you would rather hang your wooden numbers by a nail, we suggest purchasing framing hardware locally. Colors may vary from your screen due to monitor displays, please contact us to request paint swatches.

The letter height you order is based on the uppercase letter "A" of the font you specify. Depending on the font, some uppercase/lowercase letters may be shorter or taller than the height you specify on the order form so they will look proportionate to each other. Therefore, you may receive some of your lettering in different dimensions than the letter height ordered. If all lettering is ordered in lower case, we still scale the lettering to an uppercase "A" which will make most of the letters smaller than what was ordered. Please contact us if you would like to size your lettering differently from our standards. Please see examples below
Note: All Letters in the 1/8, 1/4 and 3/8 inch thickness are cut with a laser which leaves a dark smooth edge as shown above. The edge can be painted over. The 1/2 and 3/4 thick lettering are cut with a computer controlled router and then the edges are sanded smooth before painting.
